Well, the move will be complete today. I am a day late. Rufie was right... I look around this place, and I'm feeling all nostalgic. I've been living here since late August last year, thats eight months. Over that time I've grown accustomed to the place. To these walls, to all the amenities... to how the place looks. I will miss it. I am not giving it up completely. Not immediately, maybe never, but by tonight, the weblog will be moved to its new home : www.madbull4.net/weblog/. Goodbye, old blog...

The U.S. Roman Catholic Church is JOKING! Asked whether the Pope wanted to implement a rule where paedophiles would be run out of the church for one offence, it seems to me that they are still unclear as to how they will be proceeding. I don't think they get it yet, do you? If someone abuses a child once, he has BROKEN THE LAW!!! As we say in Jamaica, a jail him fi go! (he should go to jail) There is no question on that fact. I don't know if they think that the priest can minister properly to his flock from jail, I guess thats their call, but once they discover such a person, we have no reason to consult the Pope? We have societal mores to guide us and whats more, the law is fairly clear. In my humble opinion, if it is discovered that one more paedophile goes unpunished in future, I think all well minded catholics should force the priesthood to turn the bastard over to the police. Hit them where it hurts. No collection. The Bible says man cannot live by bread alone, well lets see how long they survive WITHOUT bread! Do whatever it takes... No more settlements! No more transfers! Mi say a jail dem fi go!

I sit here listening to O'Neil on Morning Time, a program on TVJ while I stare at the monitor. Just another Tuesday morning. Since Sunday night we have been having an intermittent problem with corrupted data blocks in the database used for the application I am responsible for at work. Last night we left a process running which was to have fixed the problem, but this morning I found it still running, which means the problem is not yet resolved. Such are the problems of working with a huge database. Processes take forever to complete.

On a happier note, Edward Seaga, leader of the Opposition (shown in the picture to the left), is said to have a baby on the way. He is almost 72, but apparently he is still full of vigor. Some are wondering whether this is part of an election campaign strategy, others are speculating on whether vigor is spelled V-I-A-G-R-A , and others are speculating on things of a more unmentionable nature. Me, I just wish to offer congratulations to the expecting couple. Its all good...

One thing I hate is carrying home soft drinks in the car... You know, you go to Burger King, or Kentucky Fried Chicken, and the meal involves a soda as well. Once you're buying for more than one person, you end up trying to carry two to three sodas home and drive at the same time. They always end up getting spilt in the car... Always! I hate it. Its simply infuriating!

Wow! Laura has moved her site to her new domain and I haven't moved mine yet. I've just got to stop procrastinating... You know what? I'm going to do it. Ladys and gentlemen. My new domain will be open tomorrow... Tuesday... Wednesday! Count on it... Where ever its reached, I will be cutting the ribbons and opening the new domain for viewing by Wednesday! Be there, or be square! (sotto voce: Shit! that doesn't give me much time!)

Lawd'a'massy! (Lord have mercy) Yesterday was quite busy. In the A.M., Dr. D and I decided to go to the beach. There are three beaches which are frequented by swimmers, Fort Clarence, Hellshire and Lime Cay. I will cover Fort Clarence for you soon, but this trip we went to Hellshire. We packed up our stuff and headed out fairly early, driving through Greater Portmore, which you pass through on the way to Hellshire. We stopped breiefly at the Portmore Pines Plaza for a few supplies then we headed out to the beach. Back when I was a teenager, Hellshire was probably the most popular beach in the Kingston area, and since then it has paid the price for its popularity. It is now covered with shacks put up by people who sell alcoholic beverages, food (Fried and Steamed Fish, Lobster, etc.), ganja, and maybe even some other stuff. These people are there trying to sell you stuff all day, which detracts from the "normal beach fun-ness" of the experience. If you can deal with that, Hellshire will be a worthwhile visit.

We sat around in the sun, peoplesurfed and shot a few pictures, drained a couple of beers (Heineken, & Red Stripe Beer) and a Smirnoff Ice or two , and devoured some Fried Fish, Festival and Bammy! It was fun. I only went to swim just before we left, and I am sorry now because the water was SWEET! Soon after, some rain blew over and we flashed! (left in a hurry) I will have to go back soon. Here are some pictures from this beach trip. As an aside, I have heard that they are trying to reestablished the Iguana lizard in the Hellshire Hills (Their numbers in the wild were greatly reduced by wild cats, dogs and other predators), and I saw a sign along the way saying "Crocodile Alert", but (happily) I didn't encounter either animal. I did see a horse (used to give kids rides along the beach) and a goat on the beach though.

A bit later in the day, we went to a kiddie birthday party in our complex (MB. Jr. was terrifed of the clown, but by the end of the party, he had made friends with her). Following that, we went to Natty's sister's house. Her husband, Dagwood, decided to have a get together in honour of Natty's sister Charlene's birthday. We were there until about 11:30. We all were tired after that. We headed home and went to bed immediately.
